Why choose Itty Bitty Mouths?
Therapists (SLP or OT) receive very little training in graduate school related to pediatric dysphagia and feeding difficulties, and they receive very limited knowledge of breastfeeding.
Certified Lactation Counselors are trained in the normal development of breastfeeding and well baby, but have limited knowledge of disorders or bottle feeding support.
Having both an advanced degree as as SLP and certification as a lactation counselor means that I am uniquely qualified to provide new baby feeding support to you and your little one.
Who is this model of care designed for?
-
Those that have limited or no coverage for feeding therapy from their insurance provider and are looking for a client pay option. (We do not bill insurance and are not in network with any insurance providers but will provide a super bill)
-
Caregivers that are looking for support with lactation (pumping, weaning, etc.) whose child is currently not able to nurse directly at breast/chest.
-
Children that are needing follow-along or consultative services to monitor growth and weight gain.
-
New caregivers that want to ensure that their child is on track with feeding, weight, and overall growth.
-
Caregivers looking for an in-home consultation with a highly qualified therapist that can provide support for all areas of pediatric feeding without judgement!
